Mummified Bodies Discovered on Mexican Mountain (NTDTV)

Searchers found a second "mummified cadaver" on Mexico's highest mountain. Climbers had earlier this week reported seeing a frozen skull just 1,000 feet from the summit of Pico de Orizaba. Two climbers from a 12-person local climbing team eventually reached the area in difficult, dangerous conditions. The second cadaver was found just 150 feet from the first, according to AFP.

Mexican authorities believe the bodies are two Mexicans who perished in an avalanche more than 50 years ago. There was a third climber with them at the time. Pico de Orizaba, also known as Citlaltépetl, rises to 18,491 feet. It is a stratovolcano, currently dormant but not extinct. Only Mount Kilimanjaro is taller, among volcanic mountains.
