Personnel from the Mexican Environmental Protection Agency freed a humpback whale that was caught in a net off of Cabo San Lucas. The personnel said the whale had spent several days caught in the net and it took them hours to free it, during which the whale remained calm, and only submerged after it was freed. The whale had an injured fin. There was a dead shark and two dead rays also caught in the net.
