Leading the commemorative ceremony of the 61st anniversary of the Vote of Women in Mexico, and the International Day of Rural Women, President Enrique Peña Nieto said that "with the constructive spirit and strong accountability of State, the Government will continue to work on all fronts to make Mexico a country of laws, and in which the rule of law will prevail".

He expressed that the unfortunate events in Iguala, Guerrero, "are a moment of testing for the institutions and Mexican society as a whole. "The collective sense of outrage, pain and courage demonstrate that Mexicans are united, that we are in solidary with the suffering of our brothers and sisters, and most importantly, demonstrates that we reject violence".

"Violence, wherever it comes from, is contrary to what we are as a country. Violence will never be the solution or the path to a better future. The Mexico in peace, the inclusive and prosperous Mexico that we want, we must build it based on the law, institutions and strict respect for human rights", he stressed.
